Windward Mall offers free parking to visitors. Parking is available off Haiku Road, Kamehameha Highway, and Alaloa Street.

ELECTRIC VEHICLE (EV) CHARGING STATION

Windward Mall’s Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Station is conveniently located outside the Mall’s upper-level entrance, off of Alaloa Street.  The charging station offers EV and plug-in hybrid drivers to charge their vehicles while enjoying the Mall’s many shops and eateries.

RAIN GARDEN

Windward Mall is one of the first malls in Hawaiʻi to get a Rain Garden. The Rain Garden is designed to reduce the amount of pollution entering streams and the ocean by intercepting stormwater.  A rain garden is a deliberately built depression planted with vegetation that allows stormwater from impervious surfaces to collect, briefly settle, and then infiltrate into the ground.  Rain gardens reduce the amount of pollution entering streams and the ocean by intercepting stormwater. Rain gardens are designed with nature as they mimic natural processes by treating and infiltrating stormwater into the ground and evaporating it back into the air, much like undeveloped land.

This project is a partnership between Hui O Koolaupoko, a Kailua-based nonprofit watershed management group aimed at improving water quality, and Kamehameha Schools, owners of Windward Mall.

Windward Mall offers free wireless internet (Wi-Fi) access to its patrons.

Any wireless-enabled laptop or mobile device can access the internet via the “Windward Guest” network, allowing patrons to stay connected throughout the center, including the food court and children’s play area.

Wi-Fi users have access to exclusive offers and promotions.
