Maui Aloha A Benefit Concert

Windward Mall is pleased to host the Maui Aloha A Benefit Concert with Hōkū Zuttermeister and Kapena School of Music on Monday, September 4 from 12 to 7 p.m. in Center Court. The concert will feature performances by Hawai‘i’s favorite local musicians including Hōkū Zuttermeister, Waipuna, Uluwale, Kapena School of Music, Mike Tulba, Kūpaoa, Ho‘okena, Ei Nei, and Waiolohia.

 

T Lina Girl, Aaron Mikami, Kaleo Pilanca, and Bruddah Bryan are the emcees for this special event. Born and raised in Kāne‘ohe, Nā Hōkū Hanohano award winner Hōkū Zuttermeister performs Hawaiian music with a contemporary flair. Waipuna is a six-time Nā Hōkū Hanohano award winning Hawaiian music trio. Kūpaoa are a traditional Hawaiian folk duo made up of Kellen and Līhau Paik who have released eight albums and won multiple Nā Hōkū Hanohano awards. Ho‘okena, a three-time Grammy award nominee and a multiple Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award-winning band, has created Hawaiian contemporary music since 1986. Composed of Dane Fujiwara, Grant Kono, and Ekolu Chang, Ei Nei was formed in 2017 and won the 2020 Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award for Most Promising Artist. Waiolohia is a Hawaiian music trio made up of Greg Juan, Ed Juan, and Zane Ka’aiali’i who hope to inspire the next generation of musicians with their sound by honoring past Hawaiian artists. Located at Windward Mall, Kapena School of Music and Creative Expression is a 501(c)3 music school with the hope to inspire a passion and purpose that will help bring mental and emotional wellness to its community.
