Windward Mall is pleased to be home to the Plenty of Aloha Farmers Market, which has recently been recognized as the number one farmers market in Hawai‘i by the American Farmland Trust. The 16th annual America’s Farmers Market Celebration™ is a national event honoring the role of farmers markets.  More than 1,500 markets nationwide participated in the 2024 celebration with over 97,000 votes.

“Windward Mall is proud of how Plenty of Aloha has evolved our farmers market since 2022. We are honored to be home to one of America’s favorite farmers markets of 2024 ” said Cesar Topacio, senior general manager of Windward Mall. “Our team and Plenty of Aloha work hard to bring the farmers market to our community as it helps to support our local farmers. Every Wednesday and Sunday, the farmers market is a beautiful reflection of what brings us together to buy local, honor local vendors, and showcase the beauty of our He‘eia community. Mahalo to American Farmland Trust for this recognition, to our local farmers, and amazing community for their unwavering support over the years.”

Since 2008, the Americas Farmers Market Celebration has highlighted the key role farmers markets play in American communities and our larger food system. Farmers markets not only educate consumers about where food comes from, they also foster direct relationships between community members and farmers to help create a more fair, sustainable, and just food system.

The Plenty of Aloha Farmers Market is the only indoor, air-conditioned farmers market in Hawai‘i with vendors located on both levels of Windward Mall. The market also offers the largest selection of fresh fruits and vegetables than any other farmers market in all of Hawai‘i.

The Windward Mall Farmers Market is held in Center Court every Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The market features fresh produce, beautiful flowers, culinary treats, and other unique local products including honey, island-inspired jellies and jams, freshly baked bread, pastries and desserts, seafood including smoked fish, poi, gourmet snacks, dips, sauces, Thai curries and more.
