Windward Families for R.E.A.L.

Spend some quality time with your tot while engaging in activities, including books, puzzles, play-dough, educational toys and arts and crafts, catered towards the development of your child. Families for R.E.A.L. offers parents early access learning resources for young children. Stop by Center Court and receive some helpful parenting tips for you and your keiki.


Cherry Blossom Festival Public Appearance

The Honolulu Japanese Junior Chamber of Commerce (HJJCC) will host a public speaking event for Cherry Blossom Contestants as well as Japanese entertainment this Saturday at Windward Mall’s Center Court. The HJJCC serves to perpetuate the Japanese culture in Hawai‘i and provide cultural training for women of Japanese ancestry.


Jeans and Lace

Breaking the Boundaries of Love: An Art Show

Castle High School senior, Brandi Chun, is asking, “What impact does art education have on student learning?” Come watch, listen and interact with Brandi and her friends as they perform live music and dance, followed by a discussion on the positive impact that art has had on their lives.


Windward Mall’s Lunar New Year Celebration

Sunday, February 14, 2010, 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., Throughout Mall
Gung Hee Fat Choy! This year, ring in the Lunar New Year with Windward Mall. Local entertainers, Au’s Shaolin Arts will perform a traditional Kung Fu demonstration and lion dance at Center Court. Following the performance, the lions will make their way through the mall visiting participating retailers. Shoppers will want to bring their own lai see (red envelopes) to feed the lions a monetary offering and get the Lunar New Year off to a prosperous start.


‘Ukulele Club of Hawai‘i ‘Ukulele Lessons

Thursday, February 18, 2010, 5:00 p.m. – 7:15 p.m., Center Court
Every third Thursday at Windward Mall’s Center Court, the ‘Ukulele Club of Hawai‘i sponsors free lessons for players of all ages and ability levels. Each month various local artists take the stage to offer instructions and tips to budding musicians. Participants are invited to bring their own ‘ukuleles or borrow from a limited supply of instruments from the ‘Ukulele Club. Instrument tuning begins at 5 p.m. and lessons start at 6 p.m. Contact Kristen Souza with Kanile’a Ukulele at 808-234-2868 for more information.


Honolulu Board of Water Supply Poster and Poetry Exhibition

February 8, 2010 thru February 18, 2010, Mall Hours, Lower Level Center Court
Shopper will be able to peruse artwork from the Board of water Supply's annual poster and poetry contest displayed in Windward Mall. The posters and poems on display are the winning submissions by local students from grades kindergarten through 12.

Hawai‘i Youth Symphony’s Concert Orchestra

Don’t miss Hawai‘i Youth Symphony’s concert performance at Windward Mall, featuring elementary-age performers from across the island. The Hawai‘i Youth Symphony’s Children’s Show Choral strives to teach students the importance of community service, while utilizing their musical gifts and is conducted by Susan Ochi-Onishi and Hannah Watanabe.


St. Mark Lutheran School's Student Artwork Display
